'Voice commands are not available at the moment' - Android Auto

2019 CX-5, using wired USB connection with Pixel 6, Android Auto. I tried the usual suggestion of clearing Google & Android Auto cache, restarted the phone. Restarted the car multiple times, no luck so far.

I figure it can't be a bad cable or USB port because all the rest of Android Auto works.
