3 may be fine. The issue to look at on the hybrid is whether the VTA opening in uncovered at idle vacuum. If it is, then you're too soft and need more preload. You may also get some vibrating noises at some point. You need the "long" spring as well. I don't remember exactly, but I think it was ~80mm long vs the short spring that was ~40mm. Obviously the short spring would require more spacers, but TXS will send you the long spring if your valve has the short spring....

The hybrid valve is a compromise that I didn't like. I sold mine....

ya so far i havent had any problems. no vibrations or anything... backfires a little bit when im beatin on it but thats kinda normal for turbo cars once u start changin stuff around. i think i have the long spring.. its prolly.. 4 inches tall or so?

i also have the turboxs hybrid bov...i am using 4 washers in it...runs great with very little to no back firing...just make sure that you lube the piston up every so often..it will help in holding boost. right now i use a basic spray on lube like jig-a-loo..i spray it on every 2-3 weeks when the sound of the blow off starts to fade...hope this helps ...my list of mods are in my sig if you are curious
