tunning causes ecu problems?

I was thinking about adding a few more bolt-ons since all i have is an sri, and then getting a cobb access port, but ive heard alot of people have had computer problems after running these type of setups after a while, are these rumors true?

Oh, Lord. Please search. "Computer problems"? Different combinations of mods from different manufacturers, different design of mods, and differing tuning solutions produce wildly mixed results, some fantastic, some make nice safe gains, some actually reduce power, some are fail, some go zoom, zoom, boom. Question is way, way too general.
