Anyone out there that has installed a new head unit, are there any tricks to it? Any special wiring that should/has to be done? I'm at a loss with mine!

I'm not really looking at adding new speakers, just the head unit. I have it wired and there's no sound

Oh, sorry. I thought there was something in there about installing a headunit.
I just bought a new HU and am going to install this weekend. You can't just use a regular harness because of the bose system. the bose puts out a 2 ohm signal and your HU most likely does 4 ohm. Pac makes a harness that is plug and play and give your steering wheel controls. If you don't use that you need to modify the harness with RCA cables to handle the difference in power.
I know this cause my brother in law who has the same car installed a Clarion HU and went through all of this. He used a stock harness and had a buzzing sound and clarity issues with the stock harness. We spent some time soldering RCA cables and stuff which worked but was a pain.
That's why I spend the money and bought the PAC unit.
