Tranny troubleshooting!

:
2006 Evo MR
First some background info. I have an 02P5 manual 5 speed with the original tranny still in it. The syncros are trashed and I have a Spec stage 3 clutch and Fidanza flywheel in it. After my motor swap I noticed tranny fluid on my driveway. From what I can tell tranny fluid is leaking into the clutch housing. This has been going on for a while and I have been putting tranny fluid back in it from time to time. Working 55 hours a week I don't have time to do a tranny swap. The clutch squeels like a mofo when it isn't warm and sometimes when it is warm. Now I have been noticing a ticking noise while shifting through low gears, but only when the clutch is pushed in partially on the way in or on the way out. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Aslo, I have already priced a 5 speed tranny out of a 03.5 P5. Has anyone put this tranny in an 02?

k man here are my thoughts,
the fluid coming from the housing has to be from the main shaft seal.
sqealing? sounds like it maybe the throw-out bearing or pilot bearing.
of course id have to hear it to give you a good guess. you hear this at idle right? does it matter if the clutch is disengaged or engaged?
as for the ticking noise.......not enough fluid? im not sure on this one mang.

Ticking noise only comes in when my foot pushes in the clutch when it barely starts the engage. The squeal sound sounds like it comes in when the clutch meets the friction plate. I've been keeping and eye on the fluid because of the leak. I'm am about to post a thread asking where the best place to buy an 03.5 P5 tranny is. Thanks for your input bud, it is much appreciated.

My guess is the ticking noise is your throw out bearing. Mine was shot in a 3rd gen escort I had and it did the same thing. No squeeling though, that sounds like a result of the leak.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly about the squeeking and the leak. I think some made it to the friction plate and clutch pads causing chaos in the material.
