Trailer light circuit dead-what to check, which fuses, etc?

The trailer lights definitely work, tested on another car. Car wiring installed at dealer at time of purchase.

When I probe voltage on the car side, I see a 40 (forty) volt peak on one of the pins (emergency flashers), and 5-ish on the others. But the trailer lights won't light. I cleaned all the pins, and pinched the female parts tighter to ensure contact...

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

It turned out to be the vampire clips from the harness adapter. I wiggled them, and the lights now work. Looks like I need to find better clips.

Solder each of them. Then never worry.
