Tokico HP Blue springs problem.

I got the Tokico HP Blue shocks, with Eibach springs. Now when we tightened up the nut (rear) at the top of the shock it would not tighten all the way, it starts to spin the chock internally. Any recommendations on tightening them all the way? I don't want to use a wrench to hold it and run the risk of damaging the threads, or the shaft. Any help would be great.

Oh also the front tightened right up, and had no problems.

try lifting the wheel with a floor jack while the rest of the car is on stands. Sometimes this helps to put pressure on the strut when the nut is crossthreaded like yours. Or, if you've got a good amount of threads on already, put some washers under the nut as a spacer.

ha it actually was all the way down, the threads weren't down far enough. Washers ftw. thanks
