What other vehicles use 225 55 R19 size tires? I ask because here in Colombia there seems to be a real scarcity of options in that size and I wonder if the CX-5 is one of just a couple of vehicles sold here using that size.

Yes, you’re right. As far as I know CX-5 is the only vehicle uses size 225/55R19 from factory. Even in the US there were very limited selections for such tire size until recently. I’d imagine Mazda dealer in Colombia should have some tire selections available, with high price of course. Not much you can do unfortunately.

I've noticed the 17" wheel uses a fairly common size. They don't handle as well as the 19", but some people say they have better cushioning.

Why were you ”not so happy”? Poor ride comfort? Looks? Handling? Something else? Not very helpful…

OP, you have talked about rough roads in the past, you may want to step up one size to 235/R 19 to give you more choices and add a little more sidewall for the rough roads...
