OK - just bought an 08 MS3 a month or so ago, and immediately knew I need to replace the rotors. New rotors are on, the brake pads had been changed just before I bought the car and the dealership is showing them as having minimal wear.
Driving down the road there's a "tick tick tick" coming from the driver's front wheel, that speeds up as I speed up. When I apply the brake it stops, but a new noise takes it's place, almost in the same speed, but more of a grind. Also, the driver's side wheel is covered in brake dust within a couple of days of a wash, but all other wheels are clean.
Obviously I've got a problem! Is it probably something like the pad being misaligned or something? Any thoughts are most appreciated, thanks!
