Is it easy enough to be able to replace the taillights (w/ housing) on a 2002 Protege, so that with a bit of how-to instruction, I could pass up the local garage and do it myself (with a friend's help)? If so, how is it done? Thanks.
It is very easy. Dont even bother taking it to a garage.
Just open your trunk and remove the plastic cover that is behind the tail light. Its held on by like 2 clip in kind of retainers. After that its just removing 3 10mm bolts and the tail light is out.
