Idiots. Plain and simple. Yes, for the obvious fact that they thought the bumper support bar could endure the force of the car's weight combined with the resistance of the snow. But, more over idiots because they kept walking back and forth by the line while it was under tension. They are lucky all they lost was a bumper. Could have been someones leg or life had the line broke completely through. In the Navy we call it snap back. Ever want a graphic picture of what it can do watch "Men of Honor" and that's a mild picture at best.
