Steps for replacing Mazda CX-5 door applique?

I would like to know the steps to replace the doors applique for the mazda CX5 like these:

I'm not pretty sure if I have to remove the chrome molding of the window first, I don't want to break it.

While it does not help you now, what I did when the car was new was to go to a shop and have 3M PPF applied to the Piano Black door pillar panels. This was in 2020 and so far so good.

Something to consider for the future.

Sure, I already did that and it looks good. But I would like to try with the OEM ones this time.

Hey OP, how did you do the install? Someone tried to pry ours off last night in a half assed attempt to break into our car, and we're going to replace them.
