Mazda CX-9: Mazda has already confirmed the CX-7, the production version of the MX-Crossport concept car, but it has another, larger crossover-style vehicle on the way as well. The CX-9 is Mazda's pitch at the R-Class sector and will replace the slow-selling MPV in the US as Mazda gives its range an image overhaul. No word as yet on whether it'll officially come to Europe and the UK. The CX-9 and CX-7 will also render the Tribute SUV redundant.
Unveiling: Mazda is expected to unveil the CX-9 at the New York Auto Show next spring, with sales following in late 2006 or early 2007. US-market versions may be built in Oakville, Ontario, alongside the Edge, though it will also be made in Japan - meaning that right-hand-drive versions will be produced.
