Spotify for 2015 Mazda 3i Touring

Mazda 3 Touring... I have been trying to get Spotify to play through my factory system using Bluetooth and also directly connecting by plugging my Galaxy s6 edge into system with usb. Neither way works. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

It should work. Just choose bluetooth from the audio source menu. Then on your phone use the Spotify app.
