So I went from Toyo Proxy4 tires to Kumho ASX tires for my P5....

This weekend I made the swap. I stayed with the original 195/50/16, and after a couple of days, it already seems like the Kumho's grip the road a little better than the Toyo's.....especially going from a complete stop.

Anyone else running Kumho's on their P5?

asx were good even without any thread left
now im runnin bf Gforce's cause asx were outta stock..
the g force are pretty good too pretty sticky

They're good even low on tread... except in winter! Doh!

I went from ASXs to SPTs for the summer - seem to be a little soft in the sidewall but once it loads up they over more overall grip. Both are great for the price.

I got the Proxes4's on the rear from the stealership, but ASX up front. I'm not a fan of either to be honest. My next set will definitely be a set of Potenza tires.

i'm running asx's on my p5 right now. its a bit bald..i'm kinda scared of it right now but b4 it was awesome tires. i was thinking of going toyo proxes LOL..

i heard that falken ziex 9 or 512s are pretty sticky tires
there was a thread on it while back but i i think its deleted

Kumho ASX here. In the 195 size. Great summer/winter/rain/etc. tires. They are wayyyyy better than the stock Dunlops. Here's a picture of me getting them ready to be mounted just for kicks:

The Falken Ziex line isn't that great of an All Season tire. The ASX is a much better choice if you need an all season tire and want one that performs well. If you live in an area with little to no snow, the Kumho SPT grips much better in the dry and in the rain because it is a dedicated summer tire. If you want a really sticky tire and don't mind them wearing out quicker, the Falken RT 615 is good as is the Potenza RE01R.

The G-Force line is fine, but the Kumho SPT is a better summer tire and usually cheaper depending on the size you need.

Been checking out tire reviews recently and the ASX's caught my attention. (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=UHPAS)

I have two Kumhos on the rear right now, (maybe summer tires?). I do know they are grippy and loud.

Probably going to pull the trigger on either ASX or Pirelli P-Zero Neros this fall...
Always wanted a set of Pirelli's but it looks like Kumho ASX is hard to beat for the price. Decisions, decisions...

I have an MSP. I had Toyo Proxies4 and now I have Kumho Ecsta SPT's. I'll never go back to my Proxies. The Kumho's have great grip. No problems yet. Just thought I'd share.

I am running AST's in a 205/50 size and they have been good (great dry and wet grip for the price) but once the tread wears they suck in the winter. That is why I bought some dedicated snow tires this spring.

I bought the car with Toyo Proxes TPT's in the stock 195/50 size and loved them. If it wasn't for the price, I would have bought them to replace the old ones.

I've had them for 2 sets now, I definitely like the Pirellis I had on before more, they gripped better but the ASX's are awesome for the price, just not the best.

I like the ASX's that came on my P5. They're brand new, and they're like every other set of Kuhmo's I've had (aside from the autocross tires) Good grip and predictable slip. They make a pleasing squeak just to let you know that you're actually pushing the tire, which is something that was missing from the Falken Ziex 512's I had on my GTi.

I just bought a 3.5 P5 and it needed tires, put stock size Kumho Ecsta asx on it all the way around and I like these tires a lot. I don't have any comparison with the stockers but these work well too. My father has them on his 6x6(6cylinder w/ 6 speed) accord and they work well for him.
