Simple wastegate question.

I have a simple question. What tube connects to the wastegate actuator. The wga in my MSP is not connected and Im wondering if it has to do with the sputtering. Thanks for any information.

If everything is still stock, there should be a vacuum line that runs from a T next to the valve cover all the way to the WGA. And if it's disconnected, that means you have a massive vacuum leak and that would certainly cause sputtering among other things. Fix that ASAP.

This also means your wastegate isn't opening, allowing for unlimited boost. Under the hood (if its the OEM hood) is a vacuum diagram. It'll show you where it goes. I suggest not driving it until its fixed.

I found a "t" behind the valve cover towards the firewall, but the short hoses that come off the t go to intake manifold. Those arent the tubes i'm looking for, right?

These are not the tubes you are looking for

If I'm not mistaken, the vacuum line originates from pretty much the center of the top of the intake manifold.
