Road Trip 2015 - gas report

Got back about a week ago from our 2 week camping trip.

We covered 1852KM with a Thule 1600 XL roof box and 2 bikes on the back hitch our 2015 5 GS used 6.6L per 100KM. To compare the 2014.5 CX-5 GT AWD we had got about 7.2L per 100KM - without a roof box!

If I found the right conversion to US MPG it equals about 35MPG.

35 mpg with roof box wow

We did a 800 mile trip+ 6 people + 21cubic inch roof box +18 inch wheels

And got 25.5 mpg

80mph highway

And he did his trip at 5o MPH maybe 55, to get those numbers. Best I have ever seen with mine was 29MPG and thats with just me on board at a steady 70MPH.
