Rishie's FITMENT RECIPE

Can someone tell me if this is to extreme?

17x7.5 +55 offset or +43 offset. I assume from all the previous post the +43 is out of the question.

My other choice which I know will work is 17x7 +49 but wanted a 7.5" rim. Thanks In Advance.

I Pmed Rishie about what wheels he sells, and what he is selling the for ($), but I haven't gotten any response.

I PM'ed him weeks and weeks ago and still no response ... this is the 3rd time he has not gotten back to me ... must be too busy .. and I am looking to spend good money too.

oops .. imeant to say 17x7.5 ... (7.5 wide)

The stock MP3 wheels are 17x7 with a +55 offset...I was thinking to have a wider track, I might get 10mm wheel spacers and run a slightly wider tire on the stock rim.

That would be another option than trying to find 17x7.5, because those are hard to come by in the correct offset.

Here it is again:

Protege5:

17,7 with 215/40/17: +45mm or higher
17,7.5 same tire: +48 or higher

18,7.5 with 215/35 or 40/18: +48 or higher

Sedan: 5 lug can have 3mm less spacing

So 7.5" wide can run +45 offset, or go to +48 and run a 225/35/18 for example.

Sedan: 4 lug

You guys are the luckiest and should be able to run standard +40mm offsets. The difference comes from the varying depth of the rotor "hat" between the 4 lug and 5 lug.

The difference on the MP3 and Protege5 comes from the lesser clearance in the rear fender on the P5.

Peace, Rishie

What about an MSP?? I plan on lowering my car with ion springs. They lower the car 1.7 in the front and 0.6 in the rear.

The rims i want to get are 17 X 7.0 with a +42 offset and running 215/45 tires. Do you think i will have any problems??

sedans are all the same unless you're 4 lug, so msp/mp3/es is the same, you will rub with a 45 profile, 40 would be better, as the recipe suggests. and like it says, a 42 mm offset will work because sedan has 3 mm more spacing than p5

ok i have a question now, 225/35/18 will work on sedans if its 48 or more offset, i have a four lug (even more space) so will 225/40/18 possibly work? thanks in advanced

SOSPEED, you should be quite fine. I am running 19X7, +45 and dropped 2" on a P5 and I have yet to scrub. I think I made it okay because the wheels I got are only 7" wide. I am running 215/35 though so I feel the road. I love it:D

225/40/18 is damned big ... like an inch bigger than stock. You might rub regardless of what offset wheel you're using. And it should go on an 8" wide wheel in the first place. I don't think you'll have much luck fitting those.

thought id ask...

i have a 02 Pro5 and was looking at a set of 17x7.5s but they only come in a +42mm offset.

my car is lowered with a set of eibachs (prokit).

will these be ok running something like a 215-45-17 or a 215-40-17 or is the offset just not enough? i do have access to a machine shop so that i can have them milled down by about 3mm but i want that to be my last resort... if i even decide to go that route...
