Rishie's FITMENT RECIPE

do you think i would rub with 215/45/17 tires on 17X7 +42 offset rim lowered with tein H tech on a protege5?

damn....i came across with a set of used 215/45/17 RE040 (stock msp tires?) at a cheap price, which get me started.
what about 215/40/17???? currently i hv 205/40/17 with no rubbing at all so I am wondering if i can get wider tires.

will 16x7s in a 42 offset be okay with the amount of dumpage im running? please say yes.....

Mazda Protege5 fitment guide

215/40/17; 215/35/18
-------------
7.0" +45 and higher
7.5" +48 and higher

205/40/17
-------------
7.0" +42 and higher; Barely making it
7.5" +48 or higher, the +45 still worries me with this width on a 205.

Guys, it's all in the first post. I had 16x7 +43s w/ 205s (granted, they were wide 205s) that rubbed.

17x7 +40 offset 215/40R17?? Stock suspension!! Fit or no? Kinda dont wanna roll the fenders will if i have to.

for both of you guys wanting to run 215 it going to rub, try running 205 or even 195=) But you can always pull and flare.

if i run the 17x7 tenzo type M wheel with the 42mm offset on 205/40/17, will they rub if i drop the P5 1.4"? thanks

whats the offset on the MP3? and what is the biggest rim size I can run with eibach lowering springs?

MAZDA3: Wheel fitment is good.

205/40/17 is too short for that car. Go with the taller tire.

Better yet use

Compare your stock tire diamter and the tire size you want. Get them as close together as possible.

MP3:

17x7.5 +45 would be the most agressive fitment on stock fenders. Run 215/40/17. You can do 18x7.5 +45 with 215/35/18 or 215/40/18.

all this information is posted in the first thread. Please take the time to do the math. I thought I made it pretty simple and concrete.

Hey Rishie or anyone for that matter....

Can anyone tell me if I can Squeeze a 18x8.5 +42 w/ 225/40/18 on my 02 MP5. Fenders are shaved and rolled already.

Oh and by anyone I mean anyone that has actually attempted this. I would like a nice flush fitment (not over flush) and to increase the stance. I don't mind if the car rubs a little on bumps. MP5 is currently lowered on Eibachs and Koni's

If you don't know please don't reply - If you do know and the answer is "NO" will you please explain what problems you encountered ...

Reason being is I have a spare set but would prefer not to try and fit them as they are in storage and would rather not try and jack the car up there to test fit.

Thanks in advance,

I'm running 215/45/17 azenis 615s on 17x7 +42 with S-Techs on Blues currently with no rubbing. Rear seats deleted though.

Lol I should take out my seats too, I rub when it's just me in there... I cant even think about carrying ppl.

I really need to roll my fenders, and go down to a 215.
