Ringing coming from engine only at 3500 to 4000 RPM?

My 91 miata with the 1.6 is giving me a ringing noise around 3500-4000 RPMS with the clutch in or out i still get the noise, for sure coming from the engine. Any ideas?

Mine did the exact same thing. If you look around your exhaust manifold, just below the main heat shield (the one that says "HOT"), theres another smaller heat shield. Its right where 4 turns into 1, thats what my noise was.
