Hey guys, I am in Barbados and I drive the JDM 2003 Mazda Sport20.
My problem is the other night I was racing this guy in a Toyota Runx Z and trying to catch this guy back I realised I went way beyond redline, no limiter kicked in nothing. This was surprising to me since I know my rev limiter kicks in around 7500rpm but I went pass 8000 and nothing. I tried hitting the limiter again and still nothing.
My engine is similar to yours so I was wondering if you guys know of any sensor that maybe responsible for the rev limiter kicking in, I assume the computer managed this and I tried resetting the ECU to see if it would correct the problem but it still exist. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
