Replacement motor for automatic 03 P5

Looking for a replacement engine for my P5
My local JDM engine whole seller has this in stock as well as a JDM FS9

Can someone confirm that this is a USDM and would be a direct replacement (aside from a few minor swaps) for my 03 triptonic P5
Further, would this engine or the JDM FS9 be a better choice.

Both of those are ZEs. The easiest way to tell is by the black plastic box on the intake manifold.

They can be a used, but you'll have to strip the JDM engine down to the long block, and swap everything over from your USDM engine (crank pulley, all sensors, intake, etc.) You'll have to run premium gas to take full advantage of the higher compression. Also, since you don't have the ZE ECM, don't expect to gain the extra 40-50hp.
