rear sway bar "stoppers"

I've been posting in the MP3 section, but no luck. Does anyone know how to move the stoppers (located on the rear sway bar, used to keep the sway bar from moving laterally)? I'm trying energy suspension bushings and they are wider than the stock ones and I just need to move the stoppers in about 1/4-1/2" on both sides.

Use a flathead screwdriver to release the metal band around them, you should be able to see how it's attached by looking at it, if you can't figure it out, you shouldn't be doing this kind of work on your car. Once you release it the metal band loosens and you can slide the stopper. Simply close up the band when you're done it'll stay in place.

One of mine was stuck to the bar and began to tear when I tried to move it, so you may want to soak them with a lubricant first, maybe wd40.
