Question on what is considered a "built" engine

I hear lots of mention on how the stock engine will blow if we push it too hard and that "built" is the way to go. What exactly is involved in building an engine? Is it just forged rods and pistons? I am planning on modding pretty heavy in the next few months and will be pushing for 350+ hp/torque.

rebuild from the bottom up....forged pistons and rods, better bearing

yeah....just for the pistons and rods look at spending about 1200.....unless someone is selling a good used set

all or nothing....if you were to use the old bearings....than that would be your weak link.....and while you're in there wouldn't you like the piece of mind to make everything A+ and not like to drop a bearing or 2 and have to tear it all down to replace a bearing???


i'm planning on building up my motor from the bottom up.....like i said planning

but i plan on doing it right the first time
