Protege5 MT Sluggish Acceleration

Hey everyone,

I have an MT MP5 203,XXX miles and it's suffering from a very sluggish acceleration/ loss of power above 3,000 RPM. It feels like its either hesitating, or its not getting good air/fuel/spark.

I just did plugs/coil packs/wires with no change, any thoughts?

I know that the VICS us supposed to kick in around that RPM.

Check to see if your VICS shutter valve actuator kicks in at ~3000 rpm.

You may just need some lube on the mechanism or your shutter valve is leaking and not holding a vacuum?
