Protege High Mileage Club

I'm in. '03 LX 109k. Runs great, and I flog the crap out of it. Car's paid for, so I'll be above 200k at some point

93 lx bp powered(till the kl goes in). Original motor and trans. Been boosted for 10,000 miles roughly. In the 6 yrs I've owned it it left me stranded 1 time. Replaced the disty and poof, all better. 187,000 miles

2002 BJII J48 Astina 1.8 Manual (Low spec Australian P5 with FP engine).

240xxxkm = 149xxxmiles.

Bought new by me in December 2002 at 55km. Is there a one owner since new category?

Replaced :intake manifold after No 4 cylinder ate a VICS screw
clutch (replaced with OEM under warranty)
creaky struts (replaced with BC coilovers)
No 2 and 3 engine mounts torn out (replaced with AWR)

Mix of highway, aggressive steet and canyon carving. Had twiggy cams in for 49,000km and used to hit 7,750rpm every day. Stock cams now, just CAI and ehaust.

I'm trying to get an idea how long FP engines and F25M-R transaxles usually last for when driven hard but maintained well. Any ideas/experience?

2002 Mazda Protege 5
Currently 106,000 miles. Purchased her for $6000 at 29k miles in . No turbo as of yet. But soon I will join the dark side!

I purchased the car about 3 years ago. The only thing that has gone bad was the engine mounts, and starter which I replaced... I am overdue for new belts but I will change it soon.

The car has been a blast to drive and plan to make it to the 200k mark.
