pricing for potential buyer

So I've been looking lately to buy a MSP, just curious as to what a good price is for these cars and what to really look at if I locate one? I'm here on the west coast, and what I see average asking prices is +/- $5000 for a msp with 100-150k miles on it. I know the motors are sort of glass because it's just a regular protg motor with a turbo slapped on it. But what would be a "good/great" price for one? I get that that's a tough question as it always depends on the shape of the body, health of the motor etc, but just roughly guessing. 5k just seems like a bit much to me, but I get that dealers like to mark shiz up.

I paid $4500 for mine. It was a 1 owner car that had 234k miles and a low mileage engine swapped in. It came with a bunch of spare parts too.

Unless its in great condition or is just a fantastic deal, I'd say most decent msps are in the 3-4000 dollar range.
