Premacy smart key options

Mazda Premacy
Hello All,
I have a 2005 Mazda Premacy (JDM). We have lost one of the emergency keys and now one of the smart keys is giving us problems (looks like corrosion on the battery contacts). The local dealer wants $700+ for replacement keys, and the locksmiths are not much better. I see a lot about being able to reprogram keys at with the car, but I'm having trouble figuring out exactly what I need and how to go about it:
  • I see a lot of these, but where do I find the part number on mine -https://www.ebay.com (commissions earned)
    [/URL]
  • Do I need an emergency key with a chip, what will/won't the no chip version do?
  • If I lost or both smart keys failed, does having spares of only the emergency key help, or do these only manually operate the door locks and ignition?
  • I see a lot of mention to being able to program keys by yourself if you have two keys. Do the two smart keys count, or do I need both emergency keys as well?
  • Can I use a separate remote and the emergency key, something like this - https://www.ebay.com (commissions earned)
  • Or can I use an alternative like this one - https://www.ebay.com (commissions earned)

From what I can tell, the ability to use an alternative 'type' of key would depend on the chip used and if it and the frequency used in my Premacy match.
I would prefer to replace both the smart keys with an alternative style as the smart keys seem to be quite vulnerable and susceptible to damage.

[EDIT] It appears the chip used is pretty generic, a TEX 4D-63 80-Bit, which would 'confirm' I can use an alternative type of remote?

Thanks in advance
