Power through ciagrette lighter with car off?

Hi everyone - odd thing happened today. I had a charger plugged into my cigarette lighter in the glove box that continued to stay on even when the car was turned off. Has any one else had that experience? If so, could I run the risk of draining my battery? Thank you!

Glove box? There is no outlet in the glove box.
There is one under the radio in the pocket, there is on in the armrest storage and there is one in the trunk.

The Armest and trunk stay ON when the car is off.

And...there is no "trunk" in the CX-5 or any other CUV for that matter.

What are you charging with it? Most devices have a power shut-off when battery is fully charged. So no more draw.
