Power Steering Removal

I was wondering if anyone knew off the top of their heads what size the fittings are in the steering rack to the power steering pump. Also if anyone can show how they looped the power steering lines for removal, it will be a help to me. Thanks

Others have replaced the rack with manual unit from an earlier base model Protege. However modifying the stock rack seems better since you retain the faster steering ratio.

You may be pioneering this method. At least a few people on the forum (myself included) will be interested to see how it turns out, so try to take lots of pics and post them up.

Are you keeping the A/C?

Nope. The A/C is coming out at the same time. I never use it, and it will open up so much more room and also get some decent weight savings.
