Purchased a complete running/driving 01 Protege LX 2.0 with 130k on it to have a known good running engine for my MSP. Plans have changed and I am no longer going to repair the MSP so this engine is now available (and the MSP is being parted out).
The female previous owner had hit a deer with it. I purchased the car from the repair shop that serviced it regularly. It was repairable but the perfect running engine with zero noises on startup or otherwise (after sitting for weeks) was worth the price of admission to me.
I'm selling the engine as pictured minus the engine harness for $550. If you would like the brand new water pump and timing belt, add another $50 (I paid quite a bit more for them).
The engine is available for pick up in NY 12589. Or local delivery can be arranged for a few bucks towards gas, tolls, time etc.
