P5 Surging issue

Background:

Bought a 2002 P5 with a blown engine. Purchased a FSZE and swapped it in. No problems.

My issue is I'm having some slight surging while accelerating. Nothing bad but it is noticeable. At steady throttle everything is fine. Just medium to heavy throttle when the surging appears. No knocking, no CEL. Running 1.8 coils and wires.

Any ideas?

What intake manifold did you use? Using the fsde did you take out the plate? Did you make sure to swap over all fsde sensors to the fsze? Everything hooked up to the manifold? Take some carb cleaner and spray around to see if there's any holes.

Used the DE intake manifold. No vacuum leaks. All sensors swapped over. It runs and idles really well with the exception of the surging at medium or more throttle. I've cleaned out the TB and MAF. Nothing changed.

When you say take out the plate, not sure what you're referring to.
