so, im doing 2000 626 v6 front brakes on my 02 p5. looking at upgrading the rear disc as well, and don't like the complications involved with the mazda6 setup.

what are my other option? using the search, it seems that msp rear disc and 626 rear disc are the same parts (functionally, minus casting manufacturer and weight difference). is it?

id really love to find vented rotors for the rear, but doubt a car this light would need them, or be able to have enough tire to really utilize them.

im also wanting to do this with factory application, unaltered parts.

so I guess the major question is:
is the 626 rear disc and the msp rear disc the same as far as interchange on protgs go?
what are my factory options for upgrade on my rear discs?

You already have it figured out, MSP/626 is the only bolt on upgrade for the P5. I do not know of any vented rotors for these cars but they are so light and small they truly do not need very large brakes. Rockauto.com shows the rear 626/MSP rotors also fit the NC (3rd gen) Miata and 06-10 Ford Fusion/03-10 Mazda 6.
