I was looking for a OBD to USB cord that will fit the Mazda2. Is the OBD a universal plug or does it require a specific pin count? I found some but there were some that said universal and some that said specificly "VW only" or audi only. I just need an OBD to USB cable. Anybody know the OBD plug? thanks.

It is a standardized system, every vehicle since '96 is required to use the same OBD2 port.
Most cables that you order will come with basic software for the VAG COM system (Volkswagen auto group).
For use an OBD to USB cable you need to find the software to run it, I believe some freeware copies are out there.
I have a cable from Ebay for my Triumph but the software I use is for Triumphs only, I'm not familiar with any generic OBD2 software.
