After a 2021 CX-5 GTR purchase I’m disappointed with the amount of road vibration I feel on the freeway. Around town it’s nice. Should I lower tire pressure. Is this vehicle not so good above 55mph?
Have you driven on a wide variety of highway roads? After a 2021 CX-5 GTR purchase I’m disappointed with the amount of road vibration I feel on the freeway. Around town it’s nice. Should I lower tire pressure. Is this vehicle not so good above 55mph?
Hope you are not trolling around. There are plenty of questions for you to answer, from people who are trying to help you, and you are talking about poor knowledge of balacing tires (apprentice work) from Mazda.Does a Mazda dealer know how to balance tires? Do not have a lot of faith in Mazda dealers.
You must have missed my point that a wheel weight could have fallen off, causing the tire to come out of balance.Does a Mazda dealer know how to balance tires? Do not have a lot of faith in Mazda dealers.
Sorry no trolling. And yes felt vibration when test driving. Just figured it was all in my head. As everyone seems to luv the cx5Hope you are not trolling around. Did you feel any vibration on the hi way when you drove it on a test drive? When I drove our 2019 Signature on a test drive there was no vibration on the hi way and it is the same today.
You must have missed my point that a wheel weight could have fallen off, causing the tire to come out of balance.
And if you "do not have a lot of faith in Mazda dealers", then just go to 1 of the 1 million tire shops in the country and have them
Just called Mazda dealer. Got service department voice mail. Sometimes I wonder about Mazda in Ohio.First visit would be back to the dealer, as this vibration should be covered under warranty.
After that, I'd go to a specialist tire shop and bite the bullet and get each tire checked out.
You might just have a bad factory tire that can't be balanced.
thanks all. made a app. at discount tire mon for balance and possible road force balance. will report back.CX-5 has never been for maximum ride comfort. Handling has been where it shines.
Yeah if it's excessive, for sure get that checked. Hopefully road force balance gets you sorted to your liking.thanks all. made a app. at discount tire mon for balance and possible road force balance. will report back.
OP seems to have an odd grudge against Mazda dealers for some reason...Did you drive it before you purchased it? No review has mentioned excessive road noise in this car and the recorded decibels at 70 mph are the lowest in class. If you have vibration issues and it is a new car, take it back to the dealer. Why go to a discount tire shop?
That's pretty common at most dealers nowadays. Mine has vmail but they get back pretty quickly.Just called Mazda dealer. Got service department voice mail. Sometimes I wonder about Mazda in Ohio.
