New look for old wheels.

I finaly got them done. RX-8 wheels painted with a rattle can.


This is what I had to start with.

Here is what I had after sand/media blast.

Will upload more later tonnight.

he wrapped a rachet tie down around the wheel and hooked it to an 'eye' bolt that i hope he put into a cros beam

would you say it's better to 'sand'blast(but with like black beauty or similer) or just hand wet sand the wheels if they aren't too bad....i'm really wanting to do mine up.....and that honestly really looks good


on a side not....paint them calipers red for a lil bt of contrast down there

thats why i dont have rx8 wheels, i just dont like wheels with features like that. i need "straight" spokes....

but it does look nice

I think sandblast is the best thing you can do to prep wheels for paint. it gives you the best surface to paint on plus it will hide a lot of small imperfections.

And you can see how I hung the wheels from a rachet strap to another rachet strap around the wheel. And yes i put the hook on top into a beam.


You can wet sand your wheels but then you need to deal with sanding scratches and they can be a b**** to get flat.

Why do people keep putting 40 series tires on cars that haven't been dropped?

Wheels look nice, the rx-8 wheels are a nice upgrade for any 6.
