New HPFP with issues?

Hello all. I can say I'm rather new to Mazda tuning so I'm here to ask for advice on a problem. I've had an issue with fuel pressures at WOT or nearly WOT. My HPFP pressure cuts suddenly in boost from ranges of 17-1900 down to around50. This, I consider to be an issue as I don't want my block self-ventilating. This occurred within 50 miles of installing my new HPFP. I am told this unit was tested on a test car by the manufacturer. I initially started with the OTS stage 2 map for a TIP and SRI. After the problem began, I went to stage 1 and then to stage 0 with the issue occurring intermittently. My boost has occasionally spiked to 20. I recently developed a P0172 for running rich. Has anyone seen something like this happen? any ideas?
