a drop is too expensive though :(

IMO even with 17's you would want to lower the car. Hell, I put the 16" MX-5 wheels on my car and everyone said "looks good, now drop it". lol Here are some Tein S-techs (same that I am running and quite a few others) that are a good price.

If they are still available and you get them, I plan on going to Phen's on April 2nd for a BBQ and it's only a 45 minute drive to Cleveland so I'd be willing to meet the guy halfway and then could hand carry them to the NEPOC Spring Clean Meet. :)

Jeff, if they're still available, lemme know. I'll set the deal up and go get them for you.

ill send the guy a PM about them. But if i buy those springs and maybe those stagg struts that someone posted about for 200 for the set, how much will all the other hardware and everything else I need to buy cost?

you use much of your existing stuff...i'm not sure there is much else you need? jeff just did his and i know he bought a few parts he didn't nedd/use, jeff?

Ok cool, but up to Kyle to seal the deal. I mapped it out last night and figured I could just meet the guy Sat. morning before crashing your...I mean coming to hang out at your place. :)

Sounds good Kyle, if you do get them just let Phen and I know and we'll make sure they get hand delivered to ya!

In regards to hardware (taken from my post in the 'what did you do to your P5 today' thread):
Kyle, the hardware can add up but you may not need everything. I went all out and dropped close to $400 for every little nut/bolt/rubber piece I'd need, this inclueded OEM endlinks for both the front and rear. I ended up sending back enough parts to get close to $100 of that back and probably could have re-used some others.

Key pieces to have on hand just-in-case, end links should you need to cut them (be sure to get MSP rear links as the P5 are too short, you can get Ford Escape front links at autozone for about 1/2 the price or so of OEM), strut bearings, strut mounts (IIRC I only used two out of four), spring seats and spring insulators (both of which you may be able to re-use yours but if they are ripped you can send them back).

And bump stops but be sure to specify that you want the stops for the MSP.

*edit* now that I think about it, I didn't use the front end links...mine came off without being cut

Yup, I found that out the hard way. But IMO better to be over prepared than under prepared when the car is sitting on jack stands. lol Considering the mileage I'd def buy the strut bearings and would have the strut mounts on hand (they are pricey but can always be returned if you don't need them). And more than likely you'll be able to re-use the spring seats and insulators but they are rubber so if they are ripped when you remove them????

Replacment end links.

lol...so very true!

Happy St. Pattys Day NEPOCers!

Happy St Pattys Day Tony....and to NEPOC! Co-worker brought in a Guinness chocolate cupcake with Bailey's Irish Cream icing. :)

Oh....EMG tests SUCK! Felt like I was touching bare wires over and over and then at the end I got to do my best impression of a pin cushion!
