98000 yen....so about a grand for a intake.

autoexe was on roadandtrack this month...they called them Auto Exec!

1,000 dollars for a piece of bent aluminum piping and a carbon fiber box. LOL someone is smoking crack.

aluminum pipe + bending = maybe $30

Carbon fiber box = $200

Fooling idiots into paying $1000 for a $230 part = Priceless

There was a lot of calculations in bending that pipe to those exact specs though ;) that cost mucho money. Does look nice though, but even half the cost would be pricey!

geez $1,000 for an intake........PLUS paying for overseas shipping to the States?

Unless that intake is putting out a gain of 100 hp to the wheels...... I wouldn't bother to even show it to another MS6 owner(poke)

That's not just an intake. I spoke with AutoExe regarding and it is...

CAI + turbo inlet pipe

So that setup is usually what... $600-700? Plus this one does use CF... which isn't cheap and JDM market prices. It's expensive and could be made locally for a little less (replica anyone?), but all things considered it's not THAT badly overpriced.

custom turbo inlet pipe = voided warranty?

If so, then CAI = voided warranty (should anyway). A DP is different... it will affect spool up, can cause boost creep and also emissions (main cat).

In addition, AutoExe parts are quality enough that they are carried and installed by Mazda dealers in Japan. Also to note is that Mazda dealers are all part of a subsidiary of Mazda Corp., not independent franchises like they are in the US.
