MS3 Wheel Fitment Pics & Specs

Whoever has or is attempting pulling off 245, is it worth the hassle with all the fender rolling and modification? Really are we trying too hard to be much like an STi?? MS3 was never meant to handle such wide tire anyway? What are the benefits of anything wider than 235 other than looks?

with the right offset and wheel width you can fit 245s without too much trouble. if you want a wide wheel with low offset then i wish you luck! if you are just running your car as a DD then i don't see a point in going over the stock 215s. if you are going to the track or putting down loads of horsepower then every bit of tire counts.

Can you provide a pic of said spot? I wanna see your handiwork. Please.

sorry for the delayed response... been super busy the last couple weeks. here's a photo of the inside of my rear fender(which is rolled by the way) where the plastic bumper meets the metal fender. i have trimmed back the area where the fender and bumper meet going back toward the bolt that holds the bumper on. i have also trimmed the inside edge of the plastic bumper going vertically downward from the point where the bumper and fender meet. you can see how narrow the edge of the fender is and how it begins to taper back out near the bottom of the photo where i stopped trimming. anyway, trimming back these areas has eliminated any rubbing from being lowered with my wheel/tire sizes.

Curious to know if this setup will have any rubbing issues:
- 225/40/18 tires
- OEM ms3 wheels
- eibach prokit
- Koni FSDs

I tried to search for this specific setup but didn't find it. Thanks

MS3 on stock suspension
18x8.5 +38
225/40/18 (will this rub?)
235/40/18 (will this rub?)
Which tire setup would you much prefer between the 2 which will not causing rub issues
