. Which model / color / transmission / options / etc. did you get?
Touring, copper red mica, auto trans
2. Whereabouts are you located?
Dekalb, Illinois
3. Is this your first Mazda?
Yes
4. What other vehicles were you considering, and what would you have bought if the Mazda5 didn't exist?
Had a 2007 Kia Rondo, which is usually considered in the same class as the 5, was stopped at a light and got nailed from behind at 45 mph, that was the end of the Rondo. Would have gone with another Rondo if not for the 5.
5. What were the main three reasons why you chose the Mazda5?
Interior room (I use mine as a service vehicle), gas mileage, looks sharp. I have to say that I have been impressed with how the 5 handles in the snow, the Rondo was sloppy, the 5 seems very sure-footed.
6. If you could change three things about the Mazda5 and/or the options avaliable for it, what would they be?
Front seats would move farther back, rear bench seat with the storage compartment for the jack and the spare tire setup would be different so I could take out the rear bench seat without having to place plywood over the tire, and I miss my sunglasses holder that was in the Rondo.
7. Do you plan to make any modifications?
Took out the middle seats for my tools, at some point I may take out the rear bench seat as well but so far I haven't needed to.
8. Have you seen any other Mazda5s on the road yet?
Not very many, as Consumer Reports said the Mazda5 seems to be often overlooked by people.
9. What kind of reactions have you received from others on your new Mazda5?
Some customers have inquired as to what vehicle it is, they say it's pretty sharp looking.
10. So, is the Mazda5 a MAV, a minivan, a space wagon, a microvan, crossover, toaster oven or what?
It's a service vehicle!
11. What question did I forget to ask?
How many licks DOES it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?
Touring, copper red mica, auto trans
