Mazda2 Shift Knob Size

A little question....I'm a little confused...

What is the shift knob size for a Mazda2, to buy an after market shift knob? I have a 2012 manual. I feel like I've read both 8M x 1.25 and 10M x 1.25 in different places.

As a bonus, what does that even mean? I'm a total noob with this stuff...

I'm also in the market for an after-market shift knob, if you have any suggestions/tips (wink)

Also there is a post Titled "Shift Knob" under Engine, Transmission.
Thread was started by Industrial. That's should point you in the right direction. No link as I am on my iPhone.

kyle you got it wrong buddy. M8 and M10 are the diameter of the bolt NOT length. There is a difference. M10 x 1.25 is the correct size for M2 shift knobs

HAHAH! Apparently I am noob with this stuff too. -_-

My bad dude. At least I pointed him out in the right direction. =P

IIRC, mazdas have a 8mm x 1.25 thread pattern for automatics and a 10mm x 1.25 thread pattern for manual transmission cars.
