Mazda MP3 ECU

I would like to know if the Mazda Familia 2.0L ECU would fit my MP3. I was told that the Familia ECU had a higher RPM limiter than the ones found in the MP3. Besides that i would like to know if the RPM limiter can be upgraded on the MP3.

is there any reason you want it to rev higher? also, are you gonna sell the stock ecu?

RPM Limiter

yes because in my country its kind of legal the street racing, plus i have all the upgrades a car w/o turbo can have and having a higher RPM limiter helps a lot. Here in the Dominican Republic almost all Civic Si or integra has a very high shifting point so it is difficult to race with cars like those especially my Mp3 which has a low RPM limiteer and a speed limit too.

the rev limiter is there for a reason. the VTEC head is completely different and engineered to be able to safely rev to high RPMS. the mazda head is not engineered for such high RPMs, which can lead to large problems: floating a valve, bending valves, etc. Strongly not recommended.
