Mazda CX-5 Ride & Drive Event in Dallas

I'm not annoyed because I can't fit 5 people. I don't need to do that, hence I don't need more seating. I want a usable middle seat. It's difficult to get a child seat in the center of the rear. The middle seat is like 12 inches wide.....

2017: full size child seat in middle (safest spot) will take over some room on side seats, same problem with my previous CRV. the annoying part is my particular car seat uses the seat belt also, and when buckled, the metal connector part sticks out from the seat, so you can't have the car seat in the center sitting on top of that, I put the car seat on the left hand side of it, and left seat is very small.

Yea the issue is the seat belts are too close. Put the seat on the right side, my 6 year can buckle himself. Put it in the middle, I have to do it.
This is not unique to the Mazda at all. Pretty common across the class. Drove mom's Cherokee today. Exactly the same. CrV I test drove last year, same. Crosstrek...a little worse actually.
