Mazda 6 Transmission Fluid Issue

I have a 2010 Mazda 6 with a 4 cylinder engine.

A year ago, we checked the transmission fluid, and noticed it was brown. The car had 50,000 miles. Therefore, we did a drain and fill twice on the transmission using the recommended Mazda fluid. After changing it each time, we drove about 5 or 10 miles. The transmission fluid was at the full mark, and it was bright red.

A year later, here we are, with brown fluid, again. It is just slightly below the full mark.

Has anyone else experienced this with the Mazda 6? All help on the issue is appreciated.

If the fluid is turning brown you may have a transmission overheat condition. Does the 2010 have a transmission oil heat exchange or radiator? You can probably do a drain and fill on it every year as a preventative maintenance and prevent any real issues long term even if it's running a bit hot.
