Lots of road noise and vibration

I just got new wheels and tires and when I go over 40 there is a pretty loud whirling noise and over 65 there is some vibration. I thought it was I just needed to have them balanced and after that there was still no change. Any ideas as to what is going on.

Could it be an alignment issue with odd wear on the tire causing the noise and vibration?
When they balanced did they use sticky weights or the solid hammer on ones?

+1 to alignment needs to be done and may need to brake in the new tires... took a month for my new/used tires to stop making a werid sound at +45mph

I had "weird wear" on my tires that caused this, new tires fixed it right up!
