That's a little presumptuous don't you think? To my knowledge, I did not specify any location of the knock sensor (which I assumed you already knew from your first post), other than
implying that it was near the intake manifold bracket. I didn't mean to imply that, I'm sorry if you interpreted it as such. My mentioning the removal of said bracket was meant as a general way of increasing working room under the car (along with removal oil filter as already mentioned) because it is really tight under there. Since I replaced the sensor from up top the car, not under, my vantage point was a little different than yours.
Oh, and yes, when someone has "2003 Mazda Protege5" on their member profile it
usually means that they own a 2003 Mazda Protege5.
