Ran into some issues Wednesday night. I was on the way to Advance Auto with a friend to pick up some polish and wax. My clutch started acting up on the way, losing pressure and having trouble shifting. I ended up coasting into the parking lot as my clutch pedal hit the floor (good timing right?). Once under the hood, we saw that the hose going to the slave cylinder was leaking. Although the store didn't have a replacement part listed under my car, I found a part in the store that worked. Once the hose was replaced, it was time to bleed the slave cylinder. This didn't work too well seeing as the bleeder screw sheared off the slave cylinder when we tightened it down. At this point, it was dark outside and my wife showed up so I left her. I took the next day off work and got back at it in the morning. I decided buying a new slave cylinder was the best option, however, no one local had it. It's $30 online, and $55 dealer direct. Dealer direct would still take 4 days and I didn't have that time. I took the slave cylinder off, got the sheared screw out with an easy-out, replace the screw, re installed, bled it, and was good to go!
Finally got around to doing some compound buffing and waxing. Car looks pretty good. I painted my aerocatch hoodpins satin black since they were fading. Wheels should go on this week.
