Bush declares White House visitor logs secret.

"The five-page document dated May 17 declares that all entry and exit data on White House visitors belongs to the White House as presidential records rather than to the Secret Service as agency records."

I'm confused, don't the Secret Service and the President both work for us?

I'm not surprised at all. The visitor log has been bad for the Bush admin, this and that story that came out about that meeting between Cheney and the oil execs in 2001. The oil execs denied attending it untill the visitor log was brought out and shown that they did in fact attend the meeting.
