Interior dome light

This may be different for USDM Protege5's but anyway on my EDM or UKDM protege5 the interior door/dome light switches itself off after a while if i leave the door opened for a period of time, do anyone get that like if u leave the door opened for a long time to clean the interior or something ? Everythings fine as i shut the door & open it again it lights up until u wait 10 minutes or so..!

Why don't you just set the switch on the dome light to ON?

Then i might forget to switch it off when i leave the car !(evil)

Doesnt bother me too much just wondering if those lights meant to automatically switch off even though the door is opened.

Ya. If they're set to 'door' they will auto dim / off, if you set it to 'on' it will stay on.

its equiped with a battery saving device from factory,so thats why it shuts off by itself,dont worry about it,it is normal...mine was bought brand new,and it does it too,since the begining,even the sales man explain it to me at that time...

Not heard of this battery saving device even my old 96 323F Lantis didnt do this.
